Your Podbean subdomain is part of your podcast site URL (e.g., (https://yoursubdomain.podbean.com) and is also used in your podcast feed. Changing your podcast site URL will automatically change your podcast feed URL as well.

We highly recommend NOT changing your URL if you already have an established audience or directory listings, unless it’s absolutely necessary or you want to start the podcast from scratch.

Steps to Change Your URL

Important Notes

  • Directory Updates: Platforms like Apple Podcasts or Spotify may not automatically detect this change. Though Podbean can set a 301 redirect on your old feed, we cannot guarantee the results across all directories. We highly recommend manually updating your feed in each directory and allowing up to 24 hours for changes to sync.

  • Subscriber Risk: Until directories are updated, your existing subscribers may experience issues streaming past episodes or receiving new ones.

  • Broken Links & Images: Old episode, download, and embedded image links will stop working. You will need to manually update these links wherever they are shared or posted on other websites.

Steps to Change Your URL

  1. From your Podbean dashboard, go to Distribution > Podcast Website and click on the Website URL tab.

  2. In the Built-in Domain section, enter your new URL name and click Save.
