In order to improve the sound quality of your live show, we recommend that you use an audio interface (such as interfaces from Focusrite) to livestream. Here we take the Focusrite Scarlett Solo 3rd gen for an example.

The following are required for this solution:
- Scarlett FocusRite Solo 3rd Gen (or 2i2, 2i4, etc)
- XLR Cable
- XLR Microphone
- USB-C (Type C) to USB-C (Type C) cable
- Android device with USB-C (Type C) connection
- Podbean Android App
1. Use an XLR cable to connect microphone and Scarlett Solo 3rd gen.
2. Use a USB Type-C cable to connect your Scarlett Solo 3rd gen to your Android device.
3. After connecting Scarlett Solo 3rd gen with your Android device and microphone, you can open the Podbean App to start your live show. The Podbean App should now use the Scarlett Solo 3rd Gen as the input and output device for your sound.
NOTE: Please make sure to plug in your headset on the headphone jack of Scarlett Solo 3rd gen to avoid any echo during the livestream. (Note that the headphone connection is ¼ inch jack on the Scarlett, so please be sure that you have the appropriate headphone or adapter for your headphones.)

The following are required for this solution:
- Scarlett FocusRite Solo 3rd Gen (or 2i2, 2i4, etc)
- XLR Cable
- XLR Microphone
- Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter
- USB-C (Type C) to USB-A (USB 3) cable
- USB Lightning cable and iOS power adapter
- iOS device with Lightning connection
- Podbean iOS App
1. Use an XLR cable to connect your microphone to your Scarlett Solo 3rd gen.
2. Connect the Focusrite Solo 3rd gen to an Apple Lightning to USB Camera Adapter using a USB-C to USB 3 cable. Connect the Lightning adapter to your iOS device.
Note: You will also need to use the charging cable to connect an iPhone/iPad power adapter and Apple USB Camera Adapter.
3. After connecting your Scarlett Solo 3rd gen to your power source, microphone and your iOS device, open the Podbean App to start your live show.
NOTE: Please make sure to plug in your headset on the headphone jack of Scarlett Solo 3rd gen to avoid any echo during the livestream. (Note that the headphone connection is ¼ inch jack on the Scarlett, so please be sure that you have the appropriate headphone or adapter for your headphones.)

1. Use an XLR cable to connect your microphone and Scarlett Solo 3rd gen. Then use a USB Type-C cable to connect Scarlett Solo 3rd gen and your Windows PC.
2. Go to the following webpage https://customer.focusrite.com/en/support/downloads
to download and install Focusrite Control. (After installation, you may need to restart your computer.)
3. Login into your Podbean account on the Podbean website (Google Chrome is the required browser for Podbean LiveStream), then start your live show on the Windows PC.
NOTE: Please make sure to plug in your headset on the headphone jack of Scarlett Solo 3rd gen. to avoid any echo during the livestream (Note that the headphone connection is ¼ inch jack on the Scarlett, so please be sure that you have the appropriate headphone or adapter for your headphones).
Ⅳ. Using Focusrite to live stream on a Mac
The following are required for this solution:
- Scarlett FocusRite Solo 3rd Gen (or 2i2, 2i4, etc)
- XLR Cable
- XLR Microphone
- USB-C (Type C) to USB-C (USB C) cable
- Google Chrome web browser
1. Use an XLR cable to connect your microphone and Scarlett Solo 3rd gen. Then use USB Type-C cable to connect Scarlett Solo 3rd gen to your Mac.
2. Your Mac should automatically detect your Scarlett as an interface. In the event that it does not, go to the following webpage https://customer.focusrite.com/en/support/downloads to download and install the Focusrite Control. (After installation, you may need to restart your computer.)
3. Go to the System Preference-->Sound of the Mac PC, select “Scarlett Solo USB: USB” as the Output and Input options.
4. Login into your Podbean account on the Podbean website (Google Chrome is the required browser for Podbean LiveStream), then start your live show on your Mac.
