Podbean supports Apple Podcasts Subscriptions setup, so you can connect your Podbean account with Apple Podcasts and publish subscriber episodes to Apple Podcasts.
This guide explains how to start the setup in Podbean, create your subscription in Apple Podcasts Connect, upload your Apple Podcasts API key, and manage the connection.
Before you start, make sure your podcast has at least one episode published in MP3 format and has been successfully submitted to Apple Podcasts.
Note: Apple accepts WAV, FLAC, and MP3 audio formats, but Podbean is compatible with MP3 format only for this setup.Step 1: Open Apple Podcasts Subscriptions in Podbean
Log in to your Podbean dashboard.
Go to Monetization -> Apple Podcasts Subscriptions.

Step 2: Sign up for Apple Podcasts Subscriptions
Click Sign up for Apple Podcasts Subscriptions.
Log in to your Apple Podcasts Connect account and create an Apple Podcasts subscription.
Step 3: Download your Apple Podcasts API key
After setting up Apple Podcasts Subscriptions, click Download your Apple Podcasts API Key.
Save the API key file from Apple to your computer.
The file type is '.p8' or '.pem'.
Step 4: Upload the API key to Podbean
Go back to Podbean and click Upload API Key.
Browse your computer and select the API key file.
After the key is uploaded, your Podbean account should be linked to Apple Podcasts Subscriptions.
Step 5: Publish subscriber episodes to Apple Podcasts
Once the connection is set up, you can publish Apple Podcasts subscriber episodes to Apple Podcasts from Podbean.
Disconnect Apple Podcasts Subscriptions
If you want to disconnect from Apple Podcasts Subscriptions, click Delete API Key.
Note: Deleting the API key prevents you from publishing subscriber episodes to Apple Podcasts from Podbean. Previously scheduled subscriber episodes will still publish at the future time you set, and you can manage those episodes in Apple Podcasts Connect if needed.
