When setting up your campaign on Podbean, the “Budget & Scheduling” section allows you to set how much to spend and determine when your ads run. Let’s break it down.


Campaign Budget



The budget you set here is the lifetime budget for your entire campaign. You have the flexibility to choose from our preset budget options or manually enter the budget amount you prefer. The minimum budget you can set is $200.


If you have completed the “Set Ads” step, you'll see our estimates based on your budget, including the expected ad impressions and the potential reach to unique listeners. (Simply put, Ad Impression is how many times your ad will be heard; Unique Listener Reach is how many different people will hear your ad.)


  • $300 ~ $750:
    About to gain 10K~40K ad impressions.
    Ideal for small campaigns, this range is great for businesses looking to test podcast advertising or target a specific, niche audience without significant investment. It's a starting point for increasing brand visibility on a smaller scale.

  • $750 ~ $1500:
    About to gain 40K~100K ad impressions.
    Suitable for moderate campaigns that aim to engage a broader audience and build brand awareness more effectively. This range is perfect for businesses that want to make a noticeable impact within a targeted demographic without overextending their resources.

  • $1500 ~ $5000:
    About to gain 100K~320K ad impressions.
    This range is perfect for those looking to launch a comprehensive campaign to reach a well-defined market. It offers a balance of reach and cost-effectiveness, ensuring substantial engagement with potential customers and effective promotion of new products or services.

  • $5000+: 
    About to gain more than 320K ad impressions.
    Best for extensive campaigns targeting multiple markets or demographics. This level is aimed at maximizing exposure and achieving significant brand presence and engagement.


With a larger budget, Podbean provides greater discounts on CPM (cost per thousand impressions), allowing you to obtain more impressions per dollar.


Podbean also allows you to increase your budget at any point during the campaign's run if needed.



Schedule



You can specify the start and end dates for your campaign to determine its duration. Please note that the dates you set correspond to 12:00 AM UTC. For example, if your start date is set for 2024-11-12 and your end date is 2024-12-12, your campaign will start at 00:00 on November 12 and end at 00:00 on December 12.


The default campaign duration is set to one month, making it ideal for most advertising objectives, such as increasing brand awareness or launching a new product line, while ensuring consistent audience engagement without being overwhelming. 

For quick promotions or specific events, you can opt for a shorter duration; for prolonged engagement and sustained visibility, consider a longer period. 


Podbean also allows you to pause or extend your campaign at any time if needed.
