In this guide, we'll explore what campaign pacing is and how you can use it to control the delivery of your ad impressions.

What is Campaign Pacing?

Campaign pacing is a setting that determines how Podbean delivers your ad impressions over the duration of your campaign. It helps you control how quickly your budget is spent and the rate at which listeners hear your ads.

Podbean's Campaign Pacing Options

In the “Budget & Scheduling” section, you'll find the “Pacing” options. Podbean offers two pacing choices to suit your campaign needs: ASAP and Even.

  • ASAP (As Soon As Possible):
This option delivers as many impressions as possible each day, allowing your ads to reach your audience quickly. However, be aware that your budget may run out and cause the campaign to end before the set end date if it gains a large number of impressions rapidly.

Choose this pacing if your goal is to make a strong impact when timing is crucial. It’s ideal for promotions that need swift action, such as flash sales or upcoming events.

  • Even:
This option distributes impressions evenly over the entire campaign period, ensuring your ads maintain a consistent presence. In this mode, Podbean intelligently sets a daily budget cap for your campaign, ensuring your budget lasts until the end date.

Choose even pacing if you want a steady presence for your ad, whether your campaign is long-term or simply needs consistent exposure throughout its duration.
