What can a Conversion Pixel do for you?
Podbean’s conversion pixel helps you track how many listeners visit a specific website or landing page after hearing your podcast ad.
By adding a small piece of code to your landing page, you can see exactly how many visits your ad generates. This is a simple way for advertisers to measure the real impact of their campaigns. In this context, a “conversion” means a visit to your target webpage as a result of your ad.
How does a Conversion Pixel work?
When a listener hears your ad, their device’s IP address is recorded. If that same listener visits your landing page with the conversion pixel installed within 90 days, their visit will be counted as a successful conversion. This way, you can track how many listeners were motivated by your ad to visit your website.
How to set up a Conversion Pixel?
You can set up a conversion pixel and track the results by following these steps:
1. Go to the Campaign Management page and find the campaign you want to track. Click “Action” on the right, then choose “Conversion Pixel” from the menu. Here you can get the conversion pixel for your landing page.
2. Enter your landing page URL and click “Get Code”. Copy the pixel code and paste it into your landing page between the <body> and </body> tags.
3. If the pixel is successfully implemented, you can view the results as your campaign runs. On the Campaign Management page, click on “Action” --> “View Stats”. Select "Tracking Stats" from the left side menu. You’ll see the conversion stats: how many ad listeners visit/click the landing page, with details by time, location, and source.

Tips & Best Practices
- Choose the Right Page for Your Conversion Pixel
The page where you place your Conversion Pixel determines what you’re tracking. Placing it on a general landing page measures basic interest by showing how many listeners visit your site after hearing your ad. If you place it on a page that confirms a specific user action (for example, a registration confirmation page, a purchase confirmation page, or a subscription confirmation page), it will measure users who have completed that action. Before setting up your pixel, decide which type of conversion best matches your campaign goal.
- Ensure Your Landing Page URL is Listener-Friendly
Decide whether to clearly spell out your landing page URL in your ad. If your URL is short, simple, and easy to remember, saying it once may be enough for listeners to recall and visit later. For longer or less intuitive URLs, consider spelling it out slowly, repeating it, or using a dedicated, easy-to-pronounce vanity URL to make it easier for your audience to take action. Also, clearly mentioning the URL in your ad can help drive more direct conversions that your Conversion Pixel can track.
