How it Works


Getting started with Podbean AI Writing Assistant is quick and effortless:

  1. Sign in to your Podbean account and go to Dashboard → Episodes → Episode List.

  2. Click New Episode to open the episode publish page.

  3. Toggle on AI Writing Assistant.
    AI writing for 1 hour of audio costs 300 AI credits.

  4. Upload your audio file. Podbean AI automatically generates titles, episode descriptions, transcripts, and chapter markers.

  5. Processing may take a few minutes or longer, depending on the file size.
    You’ll receive an email notification once processing is complete, and you can also check the AI episode status on the Episode List page.


Customize Your AI Writing Assistant Settings


To better match your podcast style, you can customize how AI-generated content is created.

On the episode publish page, click the gear icon in the top-right corner of the AI Writing Assistant box to access the AI Settings page.


Under Content Options, you can control how AI-generated descriptions and transcripts are created:

  1. Description style
    1. Standard (Default): Generate a simple, clear episode description, providing an overview of the episode.

    2. Informative: Provide an overview of the episode, such as topics covered, guests, and key points. This style aims to inform listeners about what to expect from the episode.

    3. Conversational: Use a casual, friendly tone as if speaking directly to a friend, aiming to create a sense of intimacy and connection with the audience.

    4. Storytelling: Focus on presenting the episode as a compelling narrative, using storytelling techniques to engage listeners and draw them into the episode.

  2. Description length
    1. Brief (Default): Concise description highlighting key points.

    2. Comprehensive: Detailed description covering various aspects.

  3. Transcript Speaker Diarization (Off by default): It automatically labels speakers with identifiers (e.g., speaker 1) and allows you to edit these names in the episode transcript edit box for personalization.

    Note: The function only works when AI Writing Assistant is enabled together with the AI Audio Optimization.

The selected settings will be applied when you publish new episodes using Podbean AI Writing Assistant.

If you manage multiple podcast channels, you can configure different AI writing settings for each channel.
